​ថ្ងៃទី ១៨ ខែតុលា ឆ្នាំ ២០១៤៣ តាម​ប្រភព​ព័ត៌មាន​បរទេសមួយ​បានឲ្យដឹងថា រៀងរាល់ថ្ងៃ​មនុស្ស​ប្រមាណ ៦០០០ នាក់​កំពុង​តែ​រស់នៅ​ដោយ​ពឹងផ្អែក​ទៅលើ​ការ​រើស សំណល់​ចេញពី​គំនរ​សំរាម​។​

​ប្រទេសកេន​យ៉ា​គឺជា​ប្រទេស​មួយ​ដែល​ស្ថិតនៅ​ភាគ​ខាងកើត​នៃ​ទ្វីប​អាហ្វ្រិក ត្រូវបាន​គេ​ដឹងថា​ជា​ប្រទេស​មួយ​ដ៏​ក្រីក្រ​។ ប៉ុន្តែ​ប្រទេស​នេះ​មាន​​ទីតាំង​សម្រាប់​ចាក់សំរាម​មួយ​ស្ថិតនៅ​ជាប់​នឹង​រាជធានី Nairobi ជា​កន្លែង​ដ៏​ធំ​បំផុត​នៅក្នុង​តំបន់​នេះ ដែល​មាន​ទំហំ ១២០.០០០ ម៉ែត្រ​ការេ​។ កន្លែង​ចាក់សំរាម​នេះ​ត្រូវបាន​គេ​បង្កើតឡើង​នៅ​ឆ្នាំ ១៩៧៥ ហើយ​ត្រូវបាន​គេ​រំពឹងទុក​ថា​នឹង​ត្រូវ​បាន​បិទ​បន្ទាប់​ពី​រយៈពេល ១៥ ឆ្នាំ​។ ប៉ុន្តែ​ទោះជា​យ៉ាងណា​ក៏​ដោយ​កន្លែង​ចាក់សំរាម​ដ៏​ធំ​មួយ​នេះ​នៅតែ​ជា​ប្រភព​ជីវិត​របស់​មនុស្ស​ជាច្រើន​៕
